Lisa earned degrees in Early Childhood Education and Adult Education before completing her Master’s degree in Human Development as a working mother. For more than 30 years, Lisa has worked as a Parenting Consultant and Early Childhood Specialist. She leads parenting classes, provides parent consultations, and works with preschools, childcare programs, pediatricians, and caregivers on behavioral challenges in young children from birth to age five. Her experience also includes supporting families navigating divorce and court-involved coparenting.

Author of The Biting Solution, Lisa is known for her practical, solution-focused approach to helping families create meaningful change in a short period of time, often preventing the need for more intensive interventions. Originally from California, Lisa is a proud grandmother and, with her husband of more than 50 years, has called New York City home since 2007, enjoying its energy, diversity, theater, and food.

Lisa takes a practical, problem-solving approach to working with children and families, partnering closely with parents to identify the root causes of behavioral and emotional challenges. Sessions are collaborative and focused on realistic strategies parents can implement immediately and build upon over time.

Lisa offers home visits and consults with schools and primary care providers as needed. She also supports children navigating parental divorce, consulting with custody evaluators and, when appropriate, providing expert witness testimony.

Known for demystifying parenting, Lisa focuses on building parental confidence through customized techniques that create lasting change.
