OUR NONPROFIT

Healing families. Reforming systems. Changing outcomes.

I’m happy to share that my new nonprofit, NYC Counseling Foundation has been granted 501(c)(3) nonprofit status by the IRS. If you are in a position to give, I would be grateful for your consideration. I know there are many worthy causes. Zero pressure or guilt–I know many are under financial stress.

Our mission is simple and deeply needed: to support children, adults, and families navigating complex, high-conflict transitions—including divorce, coercive control, and narcissistic abuse.

Our work goes beyond survivor support. We are also committed to raising awareness, educating courts, training attorneys and therapists, and creating trauma-informed legal pathways for people navigating high-conflict divorce and coercive control.

NYC Counseling receives many inquiries each week. Survivors often can’t afford therapy or legal help—even at reduced rates—while or after enduring crushing court costs, financial abuse, and prolonged legal battles. If you’re able to donate, you’ll be helping someone access safety, clarity, and support at a critical moment.

The Immediate Need

We currently have waitlists for people who need scholarships for individual therapy and group therapy, including our groups:

Many of the people seeking help are professionals and parents in the midst of overwhelming legal battles, custody disputes, and long-term emotional and financial strain. Even with reduced-fee options and scholarships, many still cannot afford the therapeutic support they urgently need.

About Our Non-Profit

NYC Counseling Foundation is organized exclusively for charitable, educational, and advocacy purposes in support of children and families navigating coercive control and complex family dynamics.

Why Your Support Matters

Therapy and group support are not luxuries—they are lifelines. The emotional, psychological, and financial toll of narcissistic abuse and divorcing a high-conflict spouse can leave survivors isolated, destabilized, and unsure of how to move forward.

Your donation will go directly toward:

  • Group therapy scholarships
  • Sliding-scale and pro bono individual therapy
  • Program expansion, including legal, judicial, and clinical training

Every contribution—large or small—helps someone access care they would otherwise have to go without.

Thank You

Thank you for celebrating this milestone with us and for helping us bring healing, clarity, and stability to those who need it most.
