Approach & Values

Alex has seen how mental health care has a profound impact not only on academic success, but also on social/emotional wellbeing. She believes that therapy is about equipping clients with the skills to become emotionally competent and self-assured adults. With an emphasis on Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, she works to replace negative thinking so that students can manage their own responses, rather than reacting to the actions of those around them.

Alex integrates psychoeducation and social emotional learning to empower clients to make informed decisions regarding their mental health care, including those hesitant and/or new to counseling.
