Mark Mineo, MSW-I
Mark began his career in Human Resources, where he realized that he preferred to work more deeply with people. He went on to start a professional organizing and house cleaning business, where he now manages several employees. In working with clients from diverse backgrounds and circumstances, many of whom struggled with anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, and hoarding disorder, Mark went further on that trajectory by pursuing a career in mental health.
Mark returned to Columbia University to obtain a Masters in Social Work. He is also involved in research in Columbia’s Social Intervention Group, utilizing structured interventions to address substance use and intimate partner violence against women.
Working in research, Mark values the importance of analytics in psychotherapy. He believes that a successful therapeutic relationship is one in which the therapist and client collaborate on an action plan with goals and methods to achieve them. Mark offers easy tools for monitoring progress—it can be motivating to track and see the progress being made during the therapeutic process.
As a Millennial, Mark understands the pressures from social media and technology. Mark will assist you in finding ways to regain control of your time and emotional well-being.
